About the charity
CNWL NHS Health Charity is the official, established charity for Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
The CNWL NHS Health Charity raises funds for exciting, and pioneering projects that improve health and wellbeing for our patients, staff and communities, by investing in people, projects and ideas which complement and enhance what the NHS is able to provide.
The financial demands on the NHS are immense, and its budget must stretch across a wide range of essential services. This is why CNWL NHS Health Charity exists - to invest in people, projects and ideas which complement and enhance what the NHS is able to provide. These projects could be anything from murals and gardens, to funding research projects, to projects which help patients take part in social activities or get access to education and learning. These all help to contribute to the ongoing health and wellbeing of our patients, staff, and community.

Gift Aid is a simple government initiative which allows us, if you are a UK taxpayer, to increase the value of your donations at no extra cost to you. For every pound you give to us we can get an extra 25p from HMRC, helping your donation go further to support CNWL.
If you stop being a UK taxpayer, or if the tax you pay is not enough to cover the amount the charity can claim on your donation, please email cnwl.charity@nhs.net to let us know about the change to your Gift Aid status.
Our funds are allocated based on the greatest need within our services, therefore, we prefer donations to be unrestricted. However, if you would like us to use your gift towards a specific aspect of our work, we can discuss this.
Fundraising and Events
If you are fundraising on JustGiving you wont need to worry about transferring the money to us afterwards, as JustGiving automatically sends us the donations.

Each event allows us to raise vital funds to continue our work providing extras and enhancements to CNWL NHS Foundation Trust. We invest by purchasing places in events and set minimum sponsorship amounts with careful consideration to ensure we cover the costs while raising additional funds for our cause.
If you would like to take part in an event but are not sure if youll meet the minimum sponsorship amount, we recommend having a chat with one of our friendly team first. They can talk you through fundraising advice and reassure you. You can give us a ring on 02076 855400.
We know that having a minimum sponsorship commitment can feel daunting, but we are here to support you every step of the way. We will provide you with guidance from the moment you sign up.
While we wont ever ask you to pay the shortfall, we do ask for 40% of money to be raised 10 weeks before the event, as weve seen this gives the best chances to reach fundraising targets. If no money has been raised near the event date, well get in touch to offer additional support. However, we do reserve the right to withdraw your place if progress isn't made, though well do everything we can to avoid this by providing our expert advice.
If you're struggling with fundraising, don't hesitate to contact us on 02076 855400 or email cnwl.charity@nhs.net. We have a lot of experience and can provide helpful advice, tips, and materials to help you meet your target.
