We have been busy visiting sites this week, delivering wellbeing boxes for staff at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) working on Christmas Day.
The charity made 34 deliveries covering 147 wards and teams dropping off 1,318 boxes to say thank you.
This is the second Christmas Appeal the charity has run, seeking to raise donations from the public towards the boxes. Each box is a small reminder that they are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated.
The boxes are packed with items to help staff relax, recharge, and feel valued. Each box contained:
Hot chocolate
Scented balm
Love hearts
Biscuits
Coffee and tea
Mints
Puzzle cube and more
The wellbeing boxes were welcomed by many staff across the Trust.
The impact in their words
These are highly appreciated and valued.
Receiving something so nice and special over Christmas made all the difference at a time when we are supporting others during the festive holidays
This Christmas, the Trust will be using 800 beds for patients, and will be 100% full on Christmas Day. We will have 1,318 kind and committed doctors, nurses, therapists and other staff on the frontline, working hard to care for these patients. They will give up their own celebrations to spend the day caring for our patients.
